Directions to the Department of Economics:
From I-5, take the La Jolla Village Drive exit.
Drive West on La Jolla Village Drive.
La Jolla Village Drive turns into North Torrey Pines Road.
Turn right on Muir College Drive (opposite Almahurst Row).
Turn left or right into either parking lot (Lots 302 and 207, respectively) after the first stop sign and park.
Walk back to Muir College Drive and continue along it in
the direction that you were previously travelling until you
reach the next stop sign and the road swings south.
Looking north up the walkway that begins at this point, the
Economics Building will be in view: of the two buildings that
are connected by a walkway bridge, it is the building on the
right.
Directions from San Diego International Airport to I-5:
Head East on Harbor Drive (this is a right turn out of the Hertz/Avis/National car rental lot).
Turn left on Laurel Street (3rd traffic signal after leaving the rental lot).
Turn left on India Street (3rd traffic signal).
Bear left onto the I-5 onramp, just past the 2nd traffic signal.
From this point, it is 10 miles to the La Jolla Village Drive exit.
Parking:
A limited number of parking meters are available near the Department. Full day parking
permits can be purchased at a self-serve machine in lot 207 or at the Gilman Information Kiosk. Parking
is free on Saturdays and Sundays.
